The build is finished; the signature isn't. Apple requires an app downloaded from the web to be signed and notarized, or macOS refuses to open it and tells the person it may be malware. My Prof is not signed yet, so there is no honest way to hand you the file — a download that makes your Mac accuse us of shipping malware is not a download. The button turns on the day notarization passes.

Make your account today and it will be waiting. When the app opens for the first time it asks for your email address and password — the same account, with whatever plan you are on already attached to it.

What it needs

macOS: 15 or later
Mac: Apple Silicon — M1 or newer. Intel Macs are not supported.
Space: About 520 MB for the app, plus room for your own material.
Network: Only for the AI features and signing in. Reading your files, your calendar and search need none.

Why it's a big download

The models My Prof runs locally are inside the app rather than on a server. That is what lets it work with no signal at all, and what stops your material from ever needing to leave the machine. You pay for that once, at download, instead of every time you use it.

The first five minutes

Open My Prof. It starts a small server on your own Mac and opens in your browser at 127.0.0.1. Nothing is published, and nothing else on your network can reach it.
Sign in with the email address and password on your account.
Add a class, then add whatever you have — the slide deck, the chapter you were told to read, a handout, your own notes.
As you go through it, tap I'm lost whenever you are.

Your material lives in ~/Library/Application Support/My Prof. Deleting the app leaves them; deleting that folder removes them for good.
